Fargin’ Facebook

Filed under: Technology — steegness @ 1:18 am

So I took the dive and added myself into the deep pool of interconnectedness that is Facebook today. Two factors played into this: peer pressure, and my desire to work technology to my advantage in trying to get the JC-Baltimore alumni club working well.

At least, that’s my rationalization, and I’m sticking to it.

So now you can look me up. “Friend” me, or something.

Meh. Hierarchy of sins-wise, I think this is pretty forgivable. Myspace? That’d be another story.

I just don’t understand the appeal. I think I’m signed up for one of them (upon request from my brother for some reason or other) but I have since even lost track of which one it is.

Ork uses Facebook – but he’s a teenybopper at heart.

    It’s the bomb-diggety, dawg.

Seriously, though? For organizing events, and sharing photos of events, there’s really nothing out there to top it.

    It will not kill you.
There are many advantages that are useful as Skwid states.
You control the level of security on your page and can pick and choose whichever apps/games/crap to use.

    I won’t bite. I promise.
